Anette Christiansen

Anette Christiansen · Head of Department for Environment and Sustainability in Agriculture & Food

As department head for Environment and Sustainability in Agriculture & Food and a member of the 2030 panel, the green transition is high on Anette's agenda. She has more than 25 years of experience with sustainability and green transition in both the public and private sector, where especially global goal 12 on responsible consumption and production has been pervasive. For the past 15 years, the work has been focused on the food industry in Denmark, but also with a strong European focus.

In her policy fellowship, Anette works with interdisciplinary approaches to a sustainable transformation of the food industry, including with a focus on the intersection between development, legislation, implementation as well as social and value-based dimensions.

Emilie Hvidtfeldt

Emilie Hvidtfeldt · Head of C40's office in Copenhagen and Director of Climate Action Engagement

Emilie manages C40's office in Copenhagen and is responsible for C40's regional activities and relations. In addition, Emilie works across C40's sector-specific teams and networks in larger strategic projects to maximise knowledge sharing, communication and learning. Emilie has been with C40 since 2016, where she has had various areas of responsibility with organisational development and governance and as head of the C40 World Mayors Summit 2019. Before joining C40, Emilie worked with cities and climate initiatives in Copenhagen Municipality, Danish ministries and in the Danish green think tank Monday Morning.

In her policy fellowship, Emilie seeks input to strengthen political mobilisation and leadership around climate action in general and specifically in relation to consumption emissions.

Helene Hagel

Helene Hagel · Climate and environmental policy leader at Greenpeace

Helene has been climate and environmental policy leader at Greenpeace since 2020. Before that, she was a climate and environmental policy adviser for Alternativet in Christiansborg, where she was involved from the start in 2015. Helene studied Political Science at the University of Copenhagen, where she wrote a thesis on climate policy and science. She has also done an internship at the UNFCCC in Bonn and studied climate studies at the UN University for Peace in Costa Rica. In addition, during her studies, she has, among other things, been on Politiken, in DR and on Information.

Through her policy fellowship, Helene wants to gain more nuances and insights in relation to the work with the public climate debate, including the role of civil society in the debate.
Jacob Christian Eriksen

Jacob Christian Eriksen · Journalist and head of Politiken's School of Debaters and Critics

Jacob is head of Politiken's Debate and Critics School and a writer at Politiken and has a background as a climate and environmental journalist. He also works as a moderator, teacher and presenter. Previously, he has worked at, among others, Ingeniøren and DR. He is educated as Cand.comm. in journalism and international politics and economics at Roskilde University and has written a thesis on rhetoric and fact-checking journalism.

In his policy fellowship, Jacob explores methods for how Danish media can help facilitate a more engaging and constructive debate about the green transition.

Jeppe Bo Rasmussen

Jeppe Bo Rasmussen · Chairman of the Board of Sustainable Cultural Life NU and head of public affairs and communication in the art field at the Bikubenfonden

Jeppe Bo Rasmussen has more than 10 years' experience as a political advisor in business, civil society, cultural life and the world of funds. In addition, he is the board leader of Sustainable Cultural Life NU, which wants to accelerate cultural life's contribution to the green transition. Previously, Jeppe has worked both with climate and energy policy for Danish Industry in Brussels and with global climate justice in Oxfam IBIS. In his work in both the Bikubenfonden and Bæredygtgt Kulturliv NU, he works with how new partnerships can stimulate and nuance political conversations, and how the arts and engaging communities in cultural life and civil society can make a decisive contribution to the sustainable society of the future.

In his policy fellowship, Jeppe works, among other things, with methodological approaches to show the importance of culture, the complexity of the green transition, think about future scenarios and motivate the general population.

Karl Kjær Bang

Karl Kjær Bang · Head of social responsibility and strategy at PFA

Karl is head of social responsibility and strategy at PFA. In the past, he has, among other things, work with the green transition when he was head of office in the European Parliament, department director at Nykredit and special adviser to the government. Karl has a master's degree in political science from Aarhus University and later took management courses at Harvard Law School and Columbia Business School.

In his policy fellowship within green transition, Karl explores how PFA can contribute to the necessary societal changes by building on a strong foundation, considering new agendas and creating companionship internally and externally.

Karoline Amalie Steen

Karoline Amalie Steen · Head of office, Center for Climate and Business, KL

Karoline Amalie Steen is office manager in KL's Center for Climate and Business, where she, among other things, is responsible for KL's involvement in the Climate Alliance - a climate partnership between KL, the regions and Realdania, where all 98 come from planning to action. In addition to responsibility for the climate alliance and serving a number of political committees, Karoline is responsible in KL for planning, housing, the mobility area as well as business, tourism and culture and the leisure area. Before KL, Karoline spent 10 years in the Municipality of Copenhagen as an office manager with responsibility for, among other things, green growth, Copenhagen's C40 membership and strategic partnerships in the green area. Karoline is educated Cand. Scient.Pol. from the University of Copenhagen and started his working life in the Ministry of Finance in the area of transport and the environment, as well as a position as ministerial secretary. Karoline sits i.a. in the following boards or committees; Danish Urban Planning Laboratory, REG LAB, Center for Housing and Social Development, DBU's sustainability committee.

In her policy fellowship, Karoline works with ways to ensure broad support for the green transition, and how the municipalities can achieve a more facilitating and supportive role in the process.

Lisbeth Trinskjær

Lisbeth Trinskjær · Chairman of the Folkehøjskolernes Forening

Lisbeth is chairman of the Association of Folkehøjskolernes in Denmark, member of the 2030 panel, member of the Democracy Commission, chairman of the Foundation Ungdomsøen and member of the board of the Center for Youth Research. In her work, Lisbeth is particularly concerned with the development of democracy, with young people's impact on the future and with the popular anchoring of the green transition.

In her policy fellowship, Lisbeth works with young people's capacity for change in the green transition and investigates how folk high schools can best work at the intersection between the personal and political levels of action.

Simon Wandel-Petersen

Simon Wandel-Petersen · Deputy Head, Office for Green Diplomacy and Climate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Simon is deputy head of the Office for Green Diplomacy and Climate in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has experience with Danish and international climate policy through his work in the Danish central administration. Previously, he worked as a climate diplomat in Brussels seconded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strategic advisor in the Ministry of Climate Change and deputy head of the Office for Transversal Climate Policy. He holds a Master of Science in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen, where he currently pursues his professional interest in global climate policy as an external lecturer at the Department of Political Science.

In his policy fellowship, Simon focuses on how Danish companies can reduce their climate footprint outside the country's borders, and Danish climate policy during the Danish EU presidency in 2025.

Sisse Norman Canguilhem

Sisse Norman Canguilhem · Director of Partnerships, Policy and Strategy at the Council for Sustainable Construction

Since 2022, Sisse has worked as director of the Council for Sustainable Construction, which is a membership association with a focus on promoting sustainability in the built environment. She graduated from CBS in International Business and previously had a long international career with postings to Hong Kong and Geneva. Sisse has both experience from his work in the private sector, but also from a 14-year career as a diplomat. Here, in recent years, she focused on green transition and climate diplomacy, with a particular focus on the EU, the UN and exports.

In his policy fellowship, Sisse works to make the construction industry's efforts measurable and with new incentive structures with a focus on housing and construction for both politicians and consumers.

Sara Krüger Falk

Sara Krüger Falk · Director of UN Global Compact Network Denmark

Sara Krüger Falk is the CEO of the UN's Global Compact Network Denmark, which she spearheaded establishing for the Global Compact in March 2018. She has extensive experience in driving systematic sustainable development through her roles in both the private and public sectors. Sara is chairman of the 2030 panel – a multi-stakeholder forum that advises the Danish Parliament on the work to promote the UN's 17 World Goals. Sara is a cand.scient.soc from RUC and has a master's in African studies from KU.

In her policy fellowship, Sara explores new interdisciplinary knowledge that can strengthen companies' contribution to better and more sustainable solutions to climate challenges and delves into topics such as sustainable construction and fashion.

Line Berg Madsen, Partner, Poul Schmith/ Kammeradvokaten

Line has 15 years’ experience with sustainability in relation to compliance, regulation and implementation among investors, financial firms and industrial companies.

Through her fellowship (which she shares with Sune Fugleholm), Line seeks to provide the company with interdisciplinary knowledge on climate changes and to gain insight into various connections between climate changes and forms of regulation focussing specifically on financial and social aspects of the green transition.

Sune Fugleholm

Sune Fugleholm, Partner, Poul Schmith/ Kammeradvokaten

Sune advises state energy, environmental and climate authorities on regulatory issues, including future regulation and application of existing regulation. For more than 20 years, he has advised state authorities on energy law issues in particular.

Through his fellowship (which he shares with Line Berg Madsen), Sune seeks to provide the company with the latest interdisciplinary knowledge on climate changes and to gain insight into various connections between climate changes and forms of regulation focussing specifically on financial and social aspects of the green transition.

Anna Jönsson

Anna Jönsson, Administrative Officer, Finance Administration, City of Copenhagen

Anna focuses on food and climate for the City of Copenhagen. As Project Manager of the municipality’s Food and Meal Strategy, she seeks to make meals in the public sector more climate friendly and to improve food systems in and around the city. She has also worked on sustainable urban development for C40 and holds a master’s degree in Urban Government from SciencesPo, Paris. Anna’s fascination with food systems has i.a. brought her to Brazil, where she worked on milking systems, and to Kalø, where she took an introductory course in organic farming.

As a fellow, Anna will explore future sustainable food systems focussing on how the City of Copenhagen can be a key player in a green transition of the Danish food system.

Anne Thomasson, kontorchef Energi- og Forsyningsministeriet

Anne Thomassen, Head of Office, Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities

Anne holds an MSc in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen and a degree in international relations from the Sorbonne. She is currently undergoing further training in finance at the Copenhagen Business School. Anna has focused on green transition for more than 10 years, especially green innovation, new business models and policy development. She has worked on green transition at i.a. the Ministry of Industry, Business and Financial Affairs and the Danish Green Investment Fund in the cross field between industrial policy, access to capital and green transition. Today, she is Head of Division at the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities, where she works in a department focussing on policy development and different agendas – from data and consumption-based climate footprints to energy efficiency improvement and behaviour.

As a fellow, Anne will concentrate on broadly applicable knowledge on the green transition of benefit to consumers, businesses and the public sector.

Cecilie Fenger Michaelsen

Cecilie Fenger Michaelsen, Team Leader, Section for Green Diplomacy and Climate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark

Cecilie is head of the team for global climate ambitions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark’s Section for Green Diplomacy and Climate. She is committed to contributing to raising the level of global climate ambitions and is responsible for the Ministry’s participation in key political processes relating to the green transition, including the COP negotiations, the EU Fit-for-55, Danish climate diplomacy and energy supply and security.

As a fellow, Cecilie explores ways to increase international support for faster green transition and ensure that other crises do not affect the green transition. 

Christine Lunde Rasmussen

Christine Lunde Rasmussen, Senior Market Manager, Social Sustainability and Just Transition, Rambøll Management Consulting 

As Senior Market Manager for Social Sustainability and Just Transition, Christine advises stakeholders in the public and private sector, philanthropy and civil society on sustainability and the triple bottom line. Christine has trained as a sociologist and has more than 15 years experience with analysis and knowledge products, evaluation, impact measurement, process facilitation and communication across the welfare and technical domains. For the past three years, Christine has been responsible for strengthening cooperation on social sustainability across Rambøll Denmark (Henning Larsen Architects, Construction, Water, Energy and Transport).

As a fellow, Christine will explore the social impact of the green transition, and how we can balance the green transition, social justice and security/quality of services. Christine focuses especially on strategic urban development and environments as well as public rooting and behavioural change.

Sigrid Bjerre Andersen

Sigrid Bjerre Andersen, Climate Policy Adviser, Global Focus

Global Focus is a platform for 80 Danish development, humanitarian and environmental organisations. Sigrid holds a degree in international development studies and has been passionate about global climate justice and climate diplomacy since she participated in her first climate summit in 2008. Together with the members of Global Focus, she promotes a Danish effort to be at the forefront of a socially just green transition that respects human rights and protects population groups in exposed areas in the global south. At the same time, she promotes green transition in the Danish development sector focussing on CO2 reduction and climate adaptation in organisations, projects and partnerships.

As a fellow, Sigrid will focus on local ownership of the green transition and i.a. explore how local climate knowledge from e.g. indigenous peoples, women, girls and other minorities in the global south can be included, applied and reflected in international climate negotiations.

Paolo Perotti

Paolo Perotti, Chief Legal Officer, Ministry of Environment of Denmark

Paolo has more than 20 years’ experience from central government administration (the Ministry of Environment and Energy, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Environment and Food and now the Ministry of Environment of Denmark) focusing on nature, environment and energy. He has held positions close to the political level (e.g. secretariat of the management of the ministry and secretary to the minister, Connie Hedegaard) as well as positions with a legal focus. Paolo is curious, has vision and global focus. He is currently completing a postgraduate course in management and strategy at Judge Business School, University of Cambridge.

As a fellow, Paolo will explore how Ministry regulations can support the green transition focusing on specific obstacles and future trends and possibilities. In addition, he will concentrate on the increasing application of international law for climate and biodiversity protection.

Niels Lund

Niels Lund, Vice President, Global Prevention and Health Promotion, Novo Nordisk

Niels is responsible for Novo Nordisk’s global programmes of prevention and health promotion, including the urban network Cities Changing Diabetes, which is found in more than 40 cities worldwide. The programme focuses especially on social and cultural factors affecting the risk of obesity and diabetes. The programme cooperates with the climate organisation C40 on identifying co-benefits in urban planning that support better health and a better climate.

Niels holds an MSc in Economics from the University of Copenhagen and an MBA from the George Washington University, Washington DC. He is Co-Chair for the Health and Healthcare Strategy Officers’ Council at the World Economic Forum (WEF) and a member of the WEF Global Future Council Cities of Tomorrow. Niels sits on the board at Save the Children, Denmark.

As a fellow, Niels will produce recommendations for the private sector and contribute to solutions in the cross field between climate and health.
