Copenhagen Impact Lab
Queen Mary's Centre, in collaboration with the Velux Foundation, established the network Copenhagen Impact Lab from January 2022 to December 2023. The network aimed to promote research-practice collaboration and strengthen the framework for knowledge that addresses societal challenges.
Copenhagen Impact Lab comprised a small circle of leaders from universities, foundations, as well as public and private organisations. It served as a network for decision-makers who, in their daily work, were actively engaged in research-practice collaboration.
In recent years, many public authorities, companies, associations, and foundations have become involved in projects that generate new knowledge in direct collaboration with university research environments. The impetus behind Copenhagen Impact Lab was the lack of a systematic collection of experiences related to research-practice collaboration, and the absence of a unifying forum for those testing various approaches and methods.
The network met four times a year to exchange insights on the latest initiatives in the field, discuss Danish and international best-practice examples, and develop new tools and knowledge to benefit both current and future projects.
